Sunday 6th of September is THE date that has always been hidden for his friends...
The 1000 problems we had made me notice that the 6th of September was his birthday!!
Durga proposed to join them at the royal (because everything is royal...) botanical gardens just outside Thimphu.
He planned a pic nic, together with his Friends, and hotel staff (Binda, Samir, Bikash) since they all have our age, it seemed really nice.
I know pictures are still missing, we do our best... because the car of Durga, you should see!!
Two things that Bhutanese people can do: drink (a lot!) and play bhutanese poker whilst chewing! We started drinking porto (they call it indian wine) at 11 o clock, climbed a little hill around 12, and at 13, we were eating again. Dinner, always overloaded with 11000 the local beer. To conclude Durga (actually you should meet him to understand how he is. small, fast, nepali, sweet,...) opened a big box with Maarten's cake. Just great!!
Imagine, a trip in the himalaya, with Bhutanese people, drinking beer, gambling and eating cake... still surreal for us!!
They, drunk and a high from shewing, we, amused went back to town for a little rest.
In the evening we concluded this day with a revenge in Bhutanese poker, but again we lost...
2o o clock, time for bed, tomorrow is serious again :-)
